Chamber Concert kicks off our Autumn season!

Our Autumn season of concerts got off to a wonderful start with this week’s Chamber Concert. The programme featured eleven different ensembles, with performances directed by both students and members of staff.

There was an impressive level of musical understanding, discipline and ensemble awareness on display, with performances of a wide range of pieces in classical, pop and jazz styles.

Our thanks and congratulations to all students who took part so well in the concert and to all of the Ensemble directors and Music Department staff involved.

Lunchtime Economics Talk!

On Friday 9th November 2018, the DAOS Economics Society welcomed Charlie Robertson from Renaissance Capital to talk about development economics and exchange rates.  Charlie is an excellent speaker and has previously spoken at the school before. His book ‘The Fastest Billion’ is in the library and you can follow him on Twitter @RencapMan. The students asked excellent questions and they have certainly become more informed about Africa and other countries.
