The Great Gig 2017!

Last Friday the Tech Crew hosted the traditional annual Great Gig with great success, overseeing a wide variety of acts performing to an audience of over 200 people, and raising almost £1400 to spend on new equipment next year.

Thanks to all those who helped, performed or attended the Gig and we look forward to seeing you again this time next year!

Advanced Learning Alliance produce Summer Bulletin!

Dame Alice Owen’s School is very proud to be part of the Advanced Learning Alliance which, along with 10 other schools in the local Hertfordshire area, shares expertise by offering a range of support and training to secondary schools and 16-19 providers.

All welcome to Open Day this week – Thursday 20th July 2.00pm – 4.30pm

We look forward to welcoming you to our annual Open Day this week – for our whole school community as well as prospective parents and students! Our Headteacher, Mrs Nemko, will give talks at 2.30pm and 3.30pm in our Sports Hall and various exciting activities will be taking place throughout the afternoon including musical interludes in the Edward Guinness Hall, science experiments in the Myddelton Building and sporting events.

Refreshments will be available in the English Department (Jane Austen Tea Room) and MFL Department (Modern Foreign Languages Cafe), as well as in our Sixth Form Dining Room, served by our parent’s OSA (Owen’s School Association). In our Main Foyer, admission information will be available, past papers on sale and staff on duty to answer any questions.
