Winners of the Book Illustration Competition announced!

Recently the Library and Art Departments ran a Book Illustration Competition to celebrate World Book Day and the 60th Anniversary of the Kate Greenaway Medal.

The overall winner was Year 8 student, Ella Rayner with her paper cut-out collage, re-imagining of the cover of ‘Shiver’. The runners up were Year 7 student, Divya Pappu for her ‘Fantastic Beasts’ cover and Lydia Littlejohn in Year 8 who produced a book to illustrate a poem by Noel Coward called ‘Lie in the Dark and Listen’. All 3 students were presented with a beautiful book illustrated by the Children’s Laureate, Chris Riddell, along with some art materials.
