DAOS students take part in Holocaust Memorial Day!

DAOS students from Year 10 and 12 were privileged to join with other Hertfordshire schools and members of the public to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day on Tuesday 24th January 2017 at The Henry John Newman Catholic Secondary School, Stevenage.

The ceremony contained moving readings and music and a unique opportunity to hear the personal testimony of a Holocaust survivor.

Focusing on contemporary relevance HMD 2017 encourages us to consider the ways in which we can choose not to be bystanders to victimisation, hate crime and prejudice in order to create a safer, better future.
