Annual open day on Thursday 20th July 2017 2.00pm-4.30pm.  Booking is not required.

Secondary Transfer September 2018 (current Year 5 children)

Test Registration for Secondary Transfer September 2018 (dates as published in our Admissions Arrangements) have now closed. Please note we are unable to accept ANY further test registration requests.   

Please refer to our Key Dates for a timetable of the secondary transfer process.

Entrance Tests – Parents that have submitted an on time test registration will receive a letter by 20th July 2017 detailing examination arrangements.  Please refer to Key Dates for a full timetable of relevant dates.

To apply for a place at Dame Alice Owen’s School (all applicants – siblings, Children Looked After, Locality, Exam, Music, Staff) you will need to:-

  • Read our Admissions Arrangements for Secondary Transfer 2018 – please follow link. This will give you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with our admissions rules.
  • Between 1st September and 31st October 2017 include Dame Alice Owen’s School as one of your preferences when you submit your Common Application Form (CAF) to your home Local Authority.  NB This is the ONLY form you need to complete to make an application. There is no additional form required by the School.

In order to register for our Entrance Exam and/or Music Tests your child’s permanent home address must be within one of the listed areas below by the date of registration. Children from outside of these areas are not eligible to be considered under these criteria and therefore cannot take our tests.

Academic Places  have been offered up to and including ranked position number 155.

Music Places have been offered up to and including ranked position number 19.

Distance Criteria  2/7 – the furthest home-school distance we have been able to allocate a place to is 667.89 metres from the address point for the school.
