New Teaching Block Building Progress

We are very pleased that the building work on the new Teaching Block has had a very successful start and is making excellent progress. Every month you will be able to see photographs showing milestones in the building work which we hope you will find interesting.

Should you wish to buy a brick, sponsor an item of equipment or make a donation, please download the following forms. Many thanks in anticipation of your support.

Site Bulletin No.7 – 27th February 2019

Now that the building envelope is complete, we will be saying goodbye to the tower crane in early March. Internal works are ahead of schedule but the snow and high winds over the winter have brought some delays to external works. We are hoping this current good weather continues.

Site Bulletin No.6 – 4th February 2019

Despite problems with the winter weather causing a few delays, we are making great progress on the teaching block. A ‘Topping Out’ ceremony was held to mark the completion of the roof- a significant milestone. Our internal fixtures and fittings wish list is complete and we will be ordering as soon as all our funding is in place.

Site Bulletin No.5 – 28th November 2018

We are now at full height with the roof slab in place and stairs installed. Brickwork to start in January. We were very pleased that one of our students has been able to spend a day’s work experience on the site with Evers. All going really well so far!

Site Bulletin No.4 – 31st October 2018

The building is progressing very rapidly and we are now up to roof level. These photos were taken before the second floor concrete pour but give an indication of the work involved.

Site Bulletin No.3 – 21st September 2018

Here is the latest bulletin from our builders. It is progressing very quickly with the foundations now completed. We will all start to notice big changes as it ‘grows’ out of the ground.

Site Bulletin No.2 – 23rd August 2018

During the summer holidays, the piling has been completed, the foundations are near completion and the tower crane arrived and is in full use. It definitely looks like a building site!
