Desmos Art competition

We are incredibly proud of our entries this year for the Desmos Art competition run by MEI (Mathematics in Education and Industry). Pupils across the United Kingdom are challenged to create a piece of art on Desmos, a free graphing software. This year’s theme was ‘The Environment’ and it was judged by MEI’s Desmos Lecturers. Year 11 student Henry Chandler was awarded a prize for his fantastic animated graph inspired by M. C. Escher’s Waterfall, which portrays the paradox of renewable energy. Another notable entry was from Hannah Senior in Year 7, who drew a fantastic representation of the Earth using intervals in the software. Well done to all who took part, we look forward to seeing your entries for next year’s competition!
