Familiarisation Papers

Familiarisation papers are not available to purchase during the school holidays

These papers have been made available to ensure that all children have an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the format of our up and coming tests. They are NOT definitive and the inclusion of any question types are examples only and do not imply that they will be found in the final tests.

VERBAL REASONING

Our Verbal Reasoning test is produced by GL Assessment  – their free familiarisation papers can be found here  and include examples of the answer sheets which are marked electronically. For more information on computer marking please refer to our FAQs.

Papers can be purchased as follows:-

• In person from the school reception between 9:15 am and 3:15 pm – Term Time Only. Payment can be made by credit/debit card, cash or cheque.
• By post – please send a cheque with a self addressed adhesive label to Familiarisation Papers, Dame Alice Owen’s School, Dugdale Hill Lane, Potters Bar, EN6 2DU. Please include an additional postage cost of:-
  • £5.55 if purchasing all the above papers
  • £3.00 if purchasing only the English and Mathematics papers

Please note that only children living within our Local Priority Areas are eligible to take our tests. Before purchasing papers please ensure that your child’s permanent address falls within one of these areas.
