NEXT OPPORTUNITY TO VISIT THE SCHOOL 

 
29 September, 1st and 3rd October –  School In Action Tours
We warmly invite prospective families of students in Year 6 and Year 5 to attend our morning School in Action tours.
  • Arrival time:  Please arrive at 9:00 am for a short introduction, followed by a 45-minute tour  of the school, led by our Sixth Form students. 
  • Last tour: The final tour will depart at 9:15 am. 
  • Please note, there is no access to the site before 9 am.  
  • Everyone is welcome.
  • No booking required.

Please note it is not possible to arrange individual visits to the school.

 

Key Dates Secondary Transfer Entry September 2025 

May – July 2025 – if school vacancies occur places will be filled from the continuing interest lists.
 
23 July 2025 – Continuing interest lists for secondary schools close.
To retain your continuing interest for a Hertfordshire secondary school you will need to make an in year application from 24 July 2025.
 
28th July – 1st August 2025  -Transition Summer Camp

Key Dates Secondary Transfer Entry September 2026 (published 10/10/24**)

**Note re Entrance Exams – we aim to provide test dates by the end of the autumn term for tests taking place later in the year in order that interested parents can ensure their child’s availability. One further date will be arranged, only if required, for children that are medically unfit on the test day or have religious reasons for being unable to attend (supporting documentation will be required). WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCOMMODATE CHILDREN FOR ANY OTHER REASONS THAN THOSE STATED ABOVE.

25th June – Entrance Exam details emailed to all parents that submitted an on time application and whose permanent address is within our Local Priority Areas (this includes attending an Islington School)
 
1 September 2025 – Entrance Exam Part I (Verbal Reasoning) and  First round Musical Aptitude Test (those registering for both will sit the VR followed by the 20 minute Musical Aptitude test)
 
2 September 2025 – back up date for additional tests only if required
 
22 – 26 September 2025 – Second round Musical Aptitude Tests
 
27 September 2025 – Entrance Exam Part II (English and Maths)

31st October 2025 – Deadline for Year 6 parents to apply for a school place by submitting their  Common Application Form to their home Local Authority 
 
2 March 2026 – National Allocation Day.  Your home Local Authority will email you the school you have been allocated
 
3 March 2026 – We will email applicants who have been allocated a place at our school and also those applicants remaining on our Continuing Interest list (as they gave us a higher preference than the place they have been offered)
