The best way to learn about our school is to attend this event, where you can meet staff and students, and explore the wide range of exciting opportunities we offer.
The Head will give talks at 2:15 pm, 3:30 pm and 5:15 pm.
Booking is not required.
There is no parking available on site – please park safely and with consideration for our neighbours.
Please note it is not possible to arrange individual visits to the school.
We aim to provide test dates by the end of the autumn term to allow parents to plan in advance. One additional test date may be arranged only for children who are:
Medically unfit on the scheduled test day, or
Unable to attend for religious reasons.
Supporting documentation will be required in both cases. We are unable to accommodate requests for any other reasons.
29 April 2026 – Test Registration Opens
Registration opens for Secondary Transfer 2027.
Only children living within one of our Local Priority Areas are eligible to sit our tests and be considered under Academic and Music Test criteria.
Please check your eligibility carefully before registering.
15 June 2026 – Test Registration Closes
We are unable to accept late registrations under any circumstances.
25 June 2026 – Test Details Sent
All applicants who completed on-time registration will receive their Academic and Music test details via email.
1 September 2026 – Entrance Exam Part I
Verbal Reasoning and Round 1 Musical Aptitude Test.
Applicants registered for both tests will sit the Verbal Reasoning test first, followed by the 20-minute Musical Aptitude test.
2 September 2026 – Backup Test Date
For additional tests only if required (medical or religious reasons).
18 September 2026, 5pm – Round 1 Results
Results of the Verbal Reasoning and Round 1 Musical Aptitude Tests emailed to applicants.
26 September 2026 – Entrance Exam Part II
English and Maths tests.
28 September – 1 October 2026 – Round 2 Musical Aptitude Tests
September/October 2026 – School In Action Tours
Exact dates to be confirmed.
23 October 2026 – Round 2 Results
Results of English, Maths, and Round 2 Musical Aptitude Tests emailed.
31 October 2026 – Deadline to Submit Common Application Form (CAF)
Year 6 parents must submit their CAF to their home Local Authority by this date.
1 March 2027 – National Allocation Day
Your Local Authority will inform you of the school allocated to your child.
3 March 2027 – DAOS Allocation Notification
DAOS will email:
Applicants who have been allocated a place, and
Applicants on the Continuing Interest list who listed DAOS higher on their CAF than the school offered by their Local Authority.
