Entrance Exams – we aim to provide test dates by the end of the autumn term for tests taking place later in the year in order that interested parents can ensure their child’s availability. One further date will be arranged, only if required, for children that are medically unfit on the test day (a medical certificate will be required) or have religious reasons for being unable to attend. WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCOMMODATE CHILDREN FOR ANY OTHER REASONS THAN THOSE STATED ABOVE.

Prospective parents and their children are warmly invited to attend our annual Open Afternoon which takes place

2 pm – 4:45 pm on Thursday 18th July 2024

NO BOOKING IS REQUIRED.

The Head will speak at 3 pm, 4:15 pm and 5:30 pm.

Last tours 4:45 pm.

There is NO PARKING available on site. Please park with consideration for our local residents and do not block roads, pavements or driveways.

Key Dates Secondary Transfer Admissions Entry September 2024

1 March 2024 – National Allocation Day – You will be advised of the school you have been allocated by your Local Authority

15 March 2024 – Last date to accept place offered – accept via your home LA

28 March 2024 – First continuing interest run – any places available will be offered by your home LA

2 April 2024 – Closing date to register an appeal

3 May 2024 – Second (and final) continuing interest run

May – July 2024 – If vacancies occur they will be filled from the continuing interest list

23 July 2024 – Continuing interest lists for secondary transfer close. To retain your continuing interest you will need to make an In Year Application.

Key Dates Secondary Transfer Admissions Entry September 2025

2 May 2024 – Online Test Registration for Academic and Music tests opens

Your permanent home address must be within one of our Local Priority Areas by the closing date for test registration, in order for you to register and for your child to sit our tests. A list of these areas can be found here

11 June 2024 – Online Test Registration closes

We are unable to accept any test registrations after this date

26 June 2024 – All test candidates that registered on time will have received details of the test timings etc. Please email Admissions if you have not received this.

18 July 2024 – OPEN AFTERNOON 2 – 4:45 pm – NO BOOKING IS REQUIRED. The Head will speak at 3 pm, 4:15 pm and 5:30 pm. Last tours 4:45 pm.

2 September 2024 – Entrance Exam Part I (Verbal Reasoning) and First round Musical Aptitude Test (those registering for both will sit the VR followed by the 20 minute Musical Aptitude test)

3 September 2024 – Further Entrance Test date if required

23 – 27 September 2024 – Second round Musical Aptitude Tests

28 September 2024 – Entrance Exam Part II (English and Maths)

Monday 7th, Tuesday 8th and Thursday 10th October

Tours of the school during a normal school day

9 am arrival. Tours depart between 9.15 and 9.30 am and take approximately 45 minutes. Booking is not required. There is no parking available on site. Please park with consideration for our local residents and do not block roads, pavements or driveways.
