Site Bulletin No.10 – 12th July 2019

We are all very excited now that the Teaching Block is reaching the final stages of construction and we look forward to moving in at the end of July.

Over the last couple of months, progress has been very rapid. In April, the building had no windows and the roof had not yet been fully completed but the contractors have made every effort to make sure we are now able to take possession at the end of term.

At the end of May we moved out of the old teaching block to enable the start of the demolition works. This was a huge task as teachers had to sort through cupboards and filing cabinets full of books and materials which in many cases dated from years ago. We managed to throw away as much as possible and everything else had to be packed up and put into storage until it can be moved in to the new block. Huge thanks go to our premises team who worked long hours to move hundreds of boxes around the school. Fortunately, everything went according to plan, the demolition process is well under way, and by the end of the summer holidays there should be no trace of the old teaching block. This will pave the way for the landscaping works to start in September.

We are very grateful for all the donations from parents to our Buy a Brick campaign and other fundraising opportunities which has enabled us to buy new furniture in the classrooms.
