Collaborative Challenge
We were delighted to hear that Lauren Lisk and Simran Misir, two Year 10 students have won 3rd Prize in the Collaborative Challenge, a national competition run by the Young Poets’ Society. Working together in their GCSE Music lessons, they composed a song, ‘Wings’
“‘Wings’ for us, is all about feeling like you need to please others over yourself,” write Lauren and Simran, “and putting other people first. We didn’t write it about a single experience but rather about how it feels to lose your confidence when others try to knock you down, and the journey of finding and reconnecting with yourself again. The song really flowed out of the both of us and we had so much fun writing it and experimenting with the vocals on the track”
