Well done to:
- our recent Alumni, Aron Thomas, who took part in the International Informatics Olympiad achieving a Bronze Medal and also in the International Mathematics Olympiad where he ranked 59th in the world. This was his best performance to date in maths and the UK team came 9th overall for which Aron was awarded a Silver Medal.
- Harry Roberts, a Year 10 student, who won 6th place in the National STEM remote learning competition ‘The Great Exhibition at Home’. Three other Owen’s students were also congratulated for their hard work and were awarded a commendation for being amongst the top 30 finalists in the country.
- Kezia Buzzard, a Year 11 students, who submitted a piece of art called ‘A Normal Train Ride’ to the Royal Academy’s Young Artists’ Summer Show. Out of the 17,000 entries for this Exhibition, Kezia’s artwork was selected to be showcased at the Royal Academy. Kezia was able to visit the Royal Academy to see her COVID-inspired artwork in person.
