Winners of the Year 7 UKMT Maths Challenge
Following on from their recent success, the Year 7 Maths Team have gone on to win the finals of the Year 7 Maths Challenge, with a total of 206 points. Hannah, Ira, Ammiel and Joey took home the victory on the 4th May after winning the intense competition at Marriotts School, Stevenage. It was an incredible success and the whole team really enjoyed it.
The team were taken to the event by Mrs Bond and Mrs Lee, who remained on the site to witness the victory. The competition was extremely tough, and there were very lucky moments associated with their victory. However, with the combined use of their skills, they were able to achieve the following results:
Round 1 (General Maths): 60/60
Round 2 (Poster Round): 47/60
Round 3 (Estimation & Problem Solving): 39/60
Round 4 (General Maths): 60/60
