GCSE Results Day

Congratulations to our Year 11s on their fantastic GCSE results!

This year, 40% of all GCSE grades awarded were graded 9 with a further 22% graded 8 and 14% graded 7.  92% of all grades awarded were 9-5 with 96% of exams graded 9-4.  93% students achieved 5 or more GCSES at standard pass or above including English and maths and 12 of our students achieved all 10 GCSEs at grade 9s, which is an astonishing achievement.

 

These results reflect the inordinate amount of work and firm commitment to excellence from both staff and students over the most difficult of years; they are richly deserved. We would like to thank all of our parents and carers for their support as well as our exceptional staff whose dedication, academic and pastoral support has also helped our young people to these successes.  Our students should feel very proud of what they have achieved and we know that they will all continue to go on to great things as they move on to the next stage in their education – they are a fabulous set of young people and it has been a pleasure to work with them.

 

 

Lauren achieved all 10 GCSES at grade 9 and was delighted with her achievements.  “After two years of such uncertainty it was great to see my hard work was reciprocated in these results”

 

Simran achieved equally as well and reflected on the years have led up to this moment, “Although it was hard at times, I am really happy that I continued to persevere and work hard. I am pleased to see this work has been reflected in my results”.

Charlie also achieved 10 Grade 9s.  He says, “It was a bit of a shock this morning but it was good to see all my hard work materialise onto a piece of paper!”

 

Joshua was also delighted with his fantastic set of 10 GCSEs at grade 9.  He told us that he is “absolutely delighted with my results and it was a relief to see all my hard work pay off.”

 

Amelia achieved equally as exceptionally and reflected the thoughts of so many when she said, “I am really proud of myself and the work I have put in and I am pleased to see that I have got the grades I deserve after a few challenging and turbulent years”.
