BBC’s Amol Rajan inspires the next generation!

On Wednesday 1st February, our A Level Politics students had a guest lecture from BBC’s Amol Rajan.

Amol was appointed the BBC’s first Media Editor in 2016. Among his many accolades, he was the youngest Editor of a broadsheet title in the UK (The Independent) and the first from an ethic minority. He will take over from Jeremy Paxman as the host of University Challenge later this year.

He gave a truly inspiring talk to our students on the relationship between politics and the media. He also covered his career journey through the world of journalism.

Amol’s visit left our students feeling a great sense of empowerment and many felt motivated to become the reporters of tomorrow! Inspiring the next generation at it’s best.
