We welcomed an inspiring visit from Jaysica Marvell who came to speak to our students about her life and experiences growing up as part of the Herts Voices programme.
The HFL Education (HFL) Herts Voices programme provides highly inspirational and motivational talks to pupils in Hertfordshire schools, challenging the stereotypes about race and ethnicity.
Jaysica spoke bravely and honestly about her family’s experiences as a result of the partition in India and how deeply this impacted her family across generations. Jaysica also told students of her successes and difficulties and reminded us all that we need to be true to ourselves and follow our dreams if we are to find joy and happiness.
