Last week, students and staff at Dame Alice Owen’s School were featured in an exciting segment on The One Show. The feature highlighted the school’s involvement in the Bootstrap study, an international research project exploring how mobile phone use affects young people’s mental health.
It was an incredible opportunity for some of our students to work alongside a professional TV crew and presenter, sharing their experiences and insights as part of this important research.
We are so proud of how brilliantly our students represented the school — whether they were being interviewed, filmed in class, or captured outside during the day. Their enthusiasm, engagement, and positive attitude throughout the day were a credit to our school community. A huge well done to everyone who took part!
There is still an opportunity for Year 8 and 9 students to sign up to take part in the study. If your child is interested in joining, they can email Ms Ogufere or Miss Smith to express their interest.
