Last week, a group of our Year 12 and 13 English A level students had the opportunity to watch a performance of Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire at The Almeida Theatre in Islington. For those who attended, the play is either an exam or coursework text so to see it on stage in our home city was an invaluable experience.
The production has received rave reviews for Oscar nominated Paul Mescal , playing Stanley Kowalski and Patsy Ferran playing the part of Blanche DuBois.
