We celebrated an impressive victory at a recent golf competition against Aldenham School at Old Fold Manor Golf Club to retain the Morkill Cup. This is a triangular match organised by the Brewers; the Brewers who played were very complimentary about our players’ conduct and maturity, as well their excellent golf.
In other golfing news, we have been running fun beginners sessions (pictured below) with a fantastic mix of boys and girls taking part who have loved smashing balls up and down the school sports field. The lessons have been made possible by the generosity of the Owen’s School Association, which has allowed us to buy practice mats. Generous donations of equipment from parents and staff have also been greatly welcomed.
Finally, congratulations to Leo Tyler for winning our annual tournament, the Bob Furlong Memorial Trophy!
