Dame Alice Owen’s School is delighted to announce yet another magnificent set of GCSE examination results.
This year, 29% of all grades were awarded at grade 9, with a further 24% at grade 8. In total, an amazing 72% of results were grades 9–7. We are also proud that 94% of our students achieved at least five standard passes (grade 4+) including English and maths. Among these achievements, ten students secured an extraordinary 10 grade 9s, and 29 students achieved all grades 8 or 9.
These achievements are a powerful reflection of the shared dedication to excellence and academic integrity that defines our school community.
Hannah Nemko, Headteacher, said: “With the encouragement of their passionate and dedicated teachers, our students have shown that when you embrace curiosity, set high expectations, and remain committed to personal growth, the opportunities ahead are limitless. Their determination and resilience are to be applauded, and they should take great pride in all that they have accomplished”.

Luke said: “I was relieved when I opened my results and am very proud of them. Next year I am going to study maths, politics and economics.”

Isla said: “I was shocked when I opened my results but I’m really happy because I put in a lot of work. I’m most proud of my results in biology and economics because they were tough subjects. I spent a lot of time going over topics I found difficult which I would recommend, as well as taking full advantage of the help from your teachers. I will be taking Biology, Chemistry and Psychology A Level and eventually hope to study medicine.”

Eleanor said: “I am so pleased with the results I have received and would like to thank all my teachers. I am excited to start 6th form at Dame Alice Owens in September.”

Vanshika said: “I was so stressed when I was opening the email so I just kept delaying it! But finally, when I opened it, I was so relieved and everything went well in the end. I’m so glad I was able to see my family so happy, and now I can celebrate with all of them!”

Tilly (LHS) said: “I am thrilled that my hard work has paid off and that, with the support of my teachers and family, I have achieved the grades I wanted. I can’t wait to start sixth form at Dame Alice. In particular, I am very pleased with my maths result, as it was the subject I had worked the hardest to improve in.”
Hannah (RHS) said: “I was really happy and excited when I opened my results. I was particularly proud of my result in history as it was the subject I found the hardest. Next year I want to study maths, further maths, biology and chemistry with maybe a view to a career in medicine.”

Toni said: “Opening my results was a moment I’ll never forget! I was extremely happy and it felt surreal knowing that all my hard work had eventually paid off.”

Zahra said: “I’m lost for words. I worked for a long time, and I think the key is to have patience and to just keep going. It’s not easy, especially to sustain it for so long, but it paid off in the end. Hard work will shine though eventually and inevitably. I’m so glad!”

Tiana says: “I couldn’t be happier with my results, and I get to celebrate this in New York with my family! I would say one tip for success is to set clear revision goals for yourself so and break everything down into small steps whilst staying consistent.”
