In a bid to become the Owen’s Champion Baker, students in Year’s 7, 8 & 9 have spent a busy morning in the food tech kitchens creating their very own masterpiece. The Great Owen’s Bake Off competition asked pupils to create a sweet or savoury baked product suitable to be served at a Summer Garden Party. They only had two hours from start to finish so the kitchens were a hive of activity.
Strawberries seemed to be a popular ingredient with one student managing to source a locally produced variety!
The pictures show some of the fabulous showpieces produced. Not a soggy bottom in sight.
