The University of Oxford (the Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages) organised a French flash fiction competition for students in Y7 – Y13 and several of Owen’s pupils took part.
We are delighted to announce that Amy in Y8 wrote the winning piece << Comment je suis devenue vétérinaire >> (How I became a vet). The piece is based on a witty use of French idiomatic expressions and Amy won the £100 prize!
Y8 student Arya also received a special mention from the jury with her poetic snowflake story.
