Secondary Transfer September 2020 (current Year 6 children)

If you gave Dame Alice Owen’s School a higher preference than the school you have been allocated you will automatically continue to be considered for a place at Dame Alice Owen’s School up until the end of the summer term. You should accept the place you have been offered – you do not need to take any other action – you will be contacted if we are in a position to offer your child a place.  If you wish to be considered for a place beyond July you can make an In Year application for Year 7 via Hertfordshire County Council towards the end of the summer term.  This process will be explained in the email/letter you receive.

Movement on Lists

Movement on the academic, music and distance lists will be regularly updated on this page.  Please use this as your first point of reference and please do not contact the Admissions Office for this information – this will enable them to deal with priority calls during this busy time.  We will contact you if we are in a position to offer you a place.

  • Academic Places have been offered up to and including ranked position number 118.
  • Music Places have been offered up to and including ranked position number 13.
  • Distance Criterion 2– the furthest home-school distance we have been able to allocate a place to is 403.95 metres from the address point for the school.
