Entrance exams and Musical Aptitude tests
Final Entrance Exam and Musical Aptitude Test Results will be emailed no later than 3rd December
Results will contain candidates’ marks, ranked position and the lowest ranked position we have been able to offer to in the last three years.
Further to the requirement from the Government to move our entrance test dates, you will be aware that our English and Maths dates and our second round Music tests are now after the 31st October deadline for making your secondary transfer applications. Some local authorities are taking this into consideration and are enabling late changes to preferences. To find out more, please contact your home local authority. Links are below for ease:

If you are interested in a school place for admission in 2021 you should:-
- Read our Admissions Arrangements for Secondary Transfer 2021. This will give you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with our admissions rules.
- Between 1st September and 31st October 2020 include Dame Alice Owen’s School as one of your preferences when you submit your Common Application Form (CAF) to your home Local Authority. NB This is the ONLY form you need to complete to make an application. There is no additional form required by the School.
Our Academic and Musical aptitude Test Registration for entry September 2021 has now closed. We are unable to accept any late requests. Emails with details were sent out on Wednesday 2nd September. Map – Allocation of Local Places
22 places are allocated every year (under criterion 2) to applicants living closest to the School. The map below shows the furthest distance allocated to over the past 3 years. Sometimes we are able to offer further distance places under criterion 7. The student audit reports below show how many places have been allocated under distance year on year.
