This week, two of our students were selected to take part in a unique careers programme in Canary Wharf with Morgan Stanley and Net Eire in partnership with peace building charity, Co-Operation Ireland.
DAOS pupils, James and Alicia, were part of a small number of students from Ireland and London selected for their potential as individuals who could benefit from the opportunity to broaden their horizons and get a taste of the corporate world in London’s key Financial Services district.
The two day course was packed full of activities to challenge and inspire including an inside view of Morgan Stanley’s trading floor, a visit to Bloomberg and the Houses of Parliament as well as interactive workshops and talks from carefully selected speakers.
‘Banking on the Future’ aims to bring together young people from diverse backgrounds to help develop their leadership potential with an insight into employment opportunities and career paths in the corporate world as well as building their confidence and employment skills.
What a fantastic experience for all of the students involved.
